Late Night with...me!

I know, I know...I had promised to post more often. I will. seriously. it was in my head a while back to commit to a weekly column-type thing as a way to prod my writing along. I would think of ideas throughout the week and write a weekly post with my news and views...only whenever I found myself at the keyboard, I couldn't for the life of me remember what I was going to say.
So tonight at 3am PDT I am here because I don't want to go to bed, I have an audition tomorrow morning for Men in Trees where I am supposed to look like a guy who drinks a lot. So basically playing myself. Problem is, this being Vancouver the competition for looking like an alcoholic is pretty stiff, so I thought after working a concert load-out for Dancing with the Stars (yes, some people actually paid big bucks to see a watered-down version of what suburban couples watched at home for free) I decided to have a few brewskis and write a coupla words.
Let's see...what else is going on?
It occurred to me this evening that I have no song for the summer of 2007.
This must be rectified immediately.
It is quite odd that in this summer of living in the house by the beach my gal-pal and I have had no real song that we've spent mucho time boogying down to...and in fact, we've only been to Kits beach together once or twice. Yeah the weather's been shit, but still...we gotta get a song going.
For me the past 2 summers have had a song that defined them...summer 2005 was the Cure's 'Labyrinth' (for a variety of reasons) and summer 06 was when I was the last dude on the Planet to discover Stevie Wonder's 'Living for the City'. Yeah, I'm white.
But what is summer 2007? I have no idea.
I haven't really been adding a lot of new music to my library recently, and that's part of the problem...looking back, the last new song I took on that really 'hit' with me was Aerosmith's 'Pink'...but that was winter 06. Time for a new tune to listen, dance and Party to. Please send your suggestions.

Yeah....it's hard to make "The Song Of....."to happen. Don't worry. It'll happen.
Maybe some Johnny Cash? Boy named Sue? Heehee....

And Dancing with the Stars? Have you SEEN it? It's oddly compelling television....
