


Went and saw The Hip tonight at the renowned Commodore club. Again: Gratis. Thank-you Nasco, but actually, thank you Bobby Ray, the Hip's road manager who I did the load-in with and set me up. Here are some pics from the floor. Yes, it went through my mind several times during the mosh extravaganza, that I may possibly be getting Too Old For This Shit. Being close is great, and anyone who has never seen Gord Downie emote from the first 5 rows is missing out on a performance by a true showman...I've been lucky enough to see the Hip thrice now, (twice that I can actually remember) but it's been awhile since I've been to a General Admission floor show...the Cure 1996, I think.

Yeah, I saw U2 from the floor last year. Being on the floor seems to take a bit more...uh.."effort" than it used to....
