Yesterday a neighbour of Randi and Mel's had their house blessed by Leonard 'Eagle Cloud' Howell , and a Medicine Wheel Ceremony. Each person there alternates being a point on the Medicine Wheel, and going through the wheel, asking the Spirits of the Medicine Wheel what Gift they have for them. Those who are the points of the wheel 'channel' the spirits and pass on their divine counsel.
Wow.
Everyone there said I was 'really into it, wow...you were very good...'are you part native?' to which I replied I'm an actor used to tapping into this kind of stuff, but the truth is that all of these people: the accountant, the hygenist, the lawyer; were just as connected to the spirits as I was...OK, maybe not the lawyer.
What a difference from yesterday's phoney-baloney audition...there was such an organic veracity that couldn't be faked as I saw these people respond to words coming from my lips that weren't mine...as I saw these people give me advice about things they couldn't possibly know about.
At the conclusion of the day there was a gift exchange, I was fortunate enough to have my number drawn and select something that Eagle Cloud himself gave, a plain stick that is in actuality far from plain, part of a teepee built by a warrior and used by Eagle Cloud to 'stir the wheel'...he said the stick had a powerful medicine and with it a powerful responsibility, and was for someone who was not afraid of 'stirring up controversy'...I'll use it for as long as it's with me.
